Educational and Safe Adventures with a Love for Nature

Option #1 - Adventure Park Gače

At Adventure Park Gače, we organize guided programs for school groups. We provide professional instructors who will supervise all activities, so there is no need for additional adult supervision.

Adventure Park Gače is a refreshing treat for nature lovers who enjoy forest excursions. It offers a chance to socialize in nature, make new friends, and experience a safe and well-maintained playground with friendly instructors and animators.

For guests who love nature, we have prepared a wide range of exciting attractions and a day full of unforgettable experiences. Our experienced instructors will ensure all activities are conducted safely, allowing teachers and parents to be completely worry-free.

Option #2 - Hiking in Kočevski Rog

Marked hiking trails lead from the center of Gače to various parts of Kočevski Rog. Climb to Mirna Gora, one of the most beautiful viewpoints in Bela Krajina, visit vast meadows filled with thousands of orchids, and explore the history of the Kočevar people.

1 | To the top of Gače

Easy marked hiking trail | Walking time: 45 min, elevation: 275 m. A forest path leads past Koča Gače to the memorial and across scenic meadows to the top of Gače.

2 | From Gače to the top of Škrilje

Easy marked hiking trail | Walking time: 1 h 30 min, elevation: 332 m. The forest trail passes below Vinica (1012 m) and leads to the top of Škrilje (1012 m).

3 | From Gače to Mirna Gora

Easy marked hiking trail | Walking time: 2 h, elevation: 367 m. Trdinova Trail takes you through scenic clearings to the top of Mirna Gora.

4 | From Gače to Base 20

Easy marked hiking trail | Walking time: 2 h 30 min, distance: 6 km. The trail passes through Kočevski Rog, where you can hug the thickest fir tree in Slovenia, explore hidden partisan hospitals, and discover remains of forest railways.

Option #3 - A Child’s Adventure

The "Unforgettable Experience in a Child’s Way" program allows children to explore the mysterious Kočevski Rog under the guidance of experienced animators.

Children take on various challenges:

✔ Surviving in nature

✔ Searching for animal tracks

✔ Fishing in a special way

✔ Collecting medicinal herbs and cooking with them

Option #4 - Kočevrčkanje (Kočevar Experience)

The Kočevrčkanje program introduces children to how the Kočevar people lived 500 years ago. They dress in traditional clothing, learn about old customs, and participate in traditional daily activities.

Activities include:

Option #6 - Winter Program

Gače Ski Resort is suitable for both beginners and experienced skiers. It offers a variety of ski slopes, a sledding area, and cross-country ski trails.
